Instead of playing other people's music, I enjoy playing and writing my own. Working through the Tom Gates books and music theory with Chris has inspired me to compose. I really enjoyed composing my other songs and wanted to make another fun song with a different melody. I want to share my love for making music.

Morris Dancing

Morris dancing is a British folk dance. It, traditionally, features a group of men dancing wearing white clothes with bells fastened around their legs, as shown below. Morris dancers often were hats bedecked with ribbons, flowers and streamers. You can also see pheasant feathers in some areas.

The Tonic Triad of F Major

A key signature is the sharp signs next to the clef. In this case we have a B flat . If you need help here please see the key signatures blog. The tonic triad is the 1st , 3rd and 5th note of the scale. When there is no key signature this triad requires no additional accidental as there is no B.

A key signature is the sharp sign next to the clef. The tonic triad is the 1st , 3rd and 5th note of the scale. When there is no key signature this triad does not need an accidental as there is no F in the triad to raise by a semitone.
