About

The TQ Piano Stage 4 Grow Zone is a preparatory phase that covers all requirements for the standard Grade 1 examination. This curriculum features a specific repertoire to build foundational technique, musicality, and interpretive skills. Required pieces for study are categorised as follows: Technical Work: Only immediate requirements are included for the recorded examination, while the broader TQ Piano Programme continues as planned. List A (Early Classical/Baroque): Sonatina in F by Thomas Attwood, essential for developing touch clarity, classical phrasing, and rhythmic precision. List B (Romantic/20th/21st-Century): At Play with a Hoop by Erik Satie, offering exposure to modern harmonies and encouraging nuanced dynamics, pedaling, and tonal control. List C (Contemporary/Character): "Tricky Traffic." Although the specific sheet music is restricted by copyright, this Practice Partner Programme covers all necessary skills to successfully navigate this piece in your lesson.
