Terms of Use

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking your place at Music Academy Hub

1.  Booking process

To book a place at Music Academy Hub, the booking process must be completed for each applicant.

Completion of the booking process and confirmation of acceptance of our terms and conditions forms your contract with the Music Academy Hub . You may provide a separate contact/address for invoices, but the booking contract will be between the student/payer and Music Academy Hub. It is your responsibility to confirm that you are eligible to attend. Some courses require particular abilities and experience. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, your place may be withdrawn.

2.  Payment of course fees and membership

Course fees are advertised in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). They may be paid in British Pounds Sterling or Euros.  When you are on the last lesson of a block you will receive an invoice by email to be paid at the next lesson. If utilising the ‘Pay As You Go’ option payment must be made one week in advance

3.  Cancellation and variation of events

The Music Academy Hub reserves the right to change advertised details of course content, dates, time-table, venue and lecturers etc. If we have to cancel a course, we will aim to inform all participants at least two weeks before the course is due to take place or as soon as is reasonably possible.  If we have to cancel a session we will let all attendees know as soon as feasible. We will reimburse all course fees paid, but we are unable to compensate for any other costs incurred.

If we have to change the dates of a course, applicants may request a full refund of course fees if the new dates are not convenient.

4.  Cancellation of bookings

Places at Music Academy Hub are limited. We therefore ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you wish to cancel a booking.

If you have to cancel a place, cancellation charges will apply as below. We regret that we have to do this, however all bookings involve administrative, materials, venue costs etc and it is difficult to fill spaces made vacant by late cancellations.  Cancellation charges depend on when we receive your written/emailed cancellation notice:

  • If cancelled more than 30 days before the start date we will refund 100% of course fees, less an administration fee of £5

  • For course bookings cancelled less than 30 days before the session date or for 'non-attendance’, no refund will be made and you will still be liable for 100% of the course fee.

  • Should you need to cancel your block of lessons due to a change in circumstances we can consider one of the following options.

  • Grant a credit note for the remaining lessons that can be taken within a calendar year.

    • This grants the student the right to return and be granted a place where timing and teacher are available.

  • Refund the remainder of your fees less a 10% handling charge.

    • This means that should the student wish to return within a calendar year they would be expected to remain on PAYG rates for six months.

5.  Non-attendance due to exceptional circumstances
  • Non-attendance at the course due to illness, personal, professional or transport reasons does not give rise to the right to refunds or a transfer.

  • However, in such an event we will consider all the circumstances and take such action that we consider to be fair and reasonable.

  • Please note that if alternative options are offered there may be an additional charge.

6.  Transfer of bookings to other events

You may transfer your booking to another course if your circumstances change, subject to the following rules:

  • For transfer requests received more than 30 days before the course start date, there will be no charge.

  • For transfer requests received under 30 days before the course start date, we will transfer the booking for an administration fee of £5 of the course fee.

  • Credit notes issued for valid reasons of non-attendance will be valid for 12 months.

7.  Data protection

Your personal information will be held and used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will never share your details with external agents.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties.
